For us in the UAE the palm tree is a sacred species. It is an integral part of our heritage and culture. It is the tree that I have lived with, around and by for most of my life and I have always been a big date eater. I can’t resist this sugary fruit. My attachment to the palm tree is also through of the many tales around this tree told to me by my father. The LITTLE PALM stool is a tribute to this tree.
LITTLE PALM is a collection of small contemporary stools inspired by the trunk of the palm and traditional hand woven mats made of dyed palm leaves.
