DECOHAUS is the theme of a collection inspired by Art Deco and Bauhaus, the two international design movements that overlapped during the 20’s. All of this collection’s designs have been locally reinterpreted using traditional UAE materials (such as camel leather) and the octagon, a shape often found in Middle Eastern and Islamic design and patterns. Each piece has been named after this key shape of the octagon. Hence:

    OCTA DRESS
This piece was designed with a female in mind, hence the choice of colours and composition. The dressing table is a trend that is returning to furnishing. More and more women are keen to have their own dressing sets and use their vanity tables for dressing. Driven by the collection’s theme of DECOHAUS the vanity table was designed on a modular system where three separate parts are joined together to create the whole vanity table. Two handcrafted side drawers made fully of leather are used for storage, all connected by joining straps. Wooden trays covered partially with leather are inserted in each drawer. To complete the set a self-standing copper coloured mirror with the same octagonal shape is included along with an octagonal stool made of hand sprayed leather in the waterlily flower theme seen elsewhere in the collection.
