Octa Write

DECOHAUS is the theme of a collection inspired by Art Deco and Bauhaus, the two international design movements that overlapped during the 20’s. All of this collection’s designs have been locally reinterpreted using traditional UAE materials (such as camel leather) and the octagon, a shape often found in Middle Eastern and Islamic design and patterns. Each piece has been named after this key shape of the octagon. Hence:

OCTA WRITE
It’s the gentleman writer who inspired this modular writing desk. Although of course it can be used by both genders, OCTA WRITE was designed primarily with the city gentleman in mind who needs a desk to write, open his mail and probably read his newspaper. It follows the same OCTA modular system with three parts joined by straps and two side drawers that are handcrafted in leather. A wooden tray is integrated inside the drawers and can easily be removed when needed. The black and white marbles along with the natural camel tan leather suit a gentleman’s style very well.
